Occult constrictive pericarditis in infancy. Documentation by rapid volume expansion

PK Chun and AP Rocchini

Occult constrictive pericarditis complicating purulent pericarditis and meningitis is reported in a four-month-old infant. The diagnosis by noninvasive studies and the value of rapid volume expansion in this setting are discussed in detail.
