Tricyclic antidepressant overdosage has been reported to cause various electrocardiographic abnormalities. This is a report of a patient in whom amitriptyline overdosage was associated with transient prolongation of the PR interval, complete right bundle branch block and marked right axis deviation (possible trifascicular block). The need for constant electrocardiographic monitoring and the availability of temporary pacing equipment is stressed.
