Immunological Response to Different Proteins of the Tubercle Bacillus

A complex molecule containing both tubercle protein and specific polysaccharide causes antibody formation after intravenous injection and hypersensitiveness after subcutaneous injection. Soluble tubercle protein and specific polysaccharide are partial antigens with hardly a trace of the immunizing power of the parent substance.
